CHRIS EDWARDS

CHEF DE CUISINE

Chef Edwards leads the Salamander team as Harriman’s Chef de Cuisine. With a breadth of experiences, he finds inspiration in seasonal ingredients, regional sourcing and global flavor influences. Classically trained in culinary arts from Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, SC, Chef Edwards sharpened his skills abroad with Three Michelin Star winning restaurants El Bulli and El Raco de Can Fabes in Spain before returning to the DC area at Maestro Restaurant, owned and operated by acclaimed New York restaurant group, Fiama Restaurant. Chef Edwards and his team have played an integral part to building Salamander Resort & Spa’s notoriety as a premiere dining destination.

Harrimans' General Manager

In addition to being Harrimans' General Manager, Michael is Salamander Resort & Spa’s first Beverage Director. During his tenure, he has elevated the wine program with exciting new wine varietals, a range of regional partners and leading edge drink combinations to create a best in class beverage menu. His background spans the Food & Beverage industry from management to operations with a personal penchant for exploring international culture, cuisines, finding inspiration in his surroundings. He spent 10 years in restaurant management before joining Salamander Resort & Spa in 2014.

PASTRY CHEF

Chef Reaves oversees the full pastry team at Salamander Resort and Spa. As a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY with a specialization in baking and pastry, he developed his love for pastry through experiences with Leesburg’s Lansdowne Resort, Norwegian Curise lines ‘Pride of Aloha’, Pride of America cruise ships and multiple Food Network competitions. In addition to his pastry contributions to Salamander, Chef Reaves’ contributes to the community. His endeavors include student mentorship, local philanthropy participation and driving tourism.
